Hello! My name is Michaëlle Martial, better known as Caribbean Nightingale. Growing up in Haiti, I learned to cook at the tender age of 8 - in both my mother's and my paternal grandmother's kitchens. This to me was a main social event infused with storytelling as my matriarchs joyously welcomed me in taking part in their labor of love. When I became a teen, I discovered my passion for the word, specifically poetry.
